Description

Stayton Fire District operates four fire stations located in the City of Stayton, and the communities of Marion, Mehama, and Elkhorn. The District office is located at the Stayton Station and is open to the public 8-5 weekdays.

Stayton fire has been one of the greatest volunteer based organizations I have ever worked for I have been a volunteer since I was 6 years old (23 now). In a variety of fields from an foreign exchange program that promoted world peace to my local search and rescue unit. As SFD compares to a lot of volunteer fire departments there is no contest. The chief is very loyal to his volunteers, as is the rest of the staff. No head games, or drama that you hear about in a lot of other departments. You also get a lot of opportunities to get free training there. Slackers beware; SFD expects a high standard of its volunteers. If you up to it call.
