Mission Statement
Our mission is to cultivate spiritually vibrant, environmentally sustainable, and multigenerational Jewish community.
Description
We are located on 500 forested acres of the lower Berkshires in northwest Connecticut. The retreat Center is the host to the Teva Learning Center, which brings Jewsih day school students to the site for 4-day residential programs that teach ecology, Jewish environmental ethics, and environmental activism. We are also the home of Camp freedman, a residential summer program for senior citizens. A new program, Adamah: The Sustainable Living Fellowship, is under development for summer 2004. It will be a six-month intensive program for college age students (graduates welcome) who will live on site and engage in a curriculum that integrates organic farming and sustainable living skills, Jewish learning and living, teaching and community service.
