CVLH exists to promote the history of the Chemung Valley and to assist and promote the effecive operation and maintenance of the Newtown Battlefield Reservation

Description

CVLH hosts events throught the year; Ben Newton Memorial Civil War Weekend, 1840's Rendezvous!, Native American Heritage Festival, Fall Mountaintop Music Festival and Revolutionary War Weekend. We have a nearly complete and authentic 1779-era Native American Village at the Newtown Battlefield Reservation.
