Mission Statement

The mission of New London-Spicer robotics is to create a collaborative environment where students, businesses, and community members will work together to accomplish a variety of tasks given dealing with science, engineering, math, and technology.

Description

New London-Spicer Robotics is designed for students in grades 9-12 to be able to gain exposure to real world science, engineering, and math problems. Students use information and guidelines given to solve challenges that are presented to them, as well as work with area businesses to gain sponsorship and adult mentors to assist in all processes.

Students run the program similar to a small business by gaining proper funding and sponsorship to successfully complete these tasks. Along with this, the students colaborate with engineers and businesses to learn processes that are preparing these students for the business world.

All of this is demonstrated through multiple robotics competitions held anually with local, regional, and national level competitions, each with their own awards.
