Devoted to Youth (DTY) is a non-profit organization committed to fundraising, implementing programs and events serving at-risk youth in underserved communities throughout Los Angeles and surrounding cities.

Description

Recapalooza is an annual festival for youth ages 6-17, designed to inspire youth and impact attitudes and behaviors around health, fitness and creativity through exposure to a variety of recreational activities.

When: October 1st, 2011 - 10:00 am -- 5:00 pm

Where: 1800 Ocean Front Walk Venice, CA 90291

Activities: Featuring Basketball & Handball Tournaments, Skating, Bicycle, Paddleball Exhibitions, Fitness Obstacle Course, Kids Play Area, Tasty Food Trucks' , Teenage Musical Talent Show, Live Band and surprise performances!

I have worked and assisted Devoted to Youth for two weeks. I was responsible for administrative work and worked closely with the president of the company. Team is very friendly and they are committed to raising funds for underprivileged children and youth. I also received stellar reference from Devoted to Youth as I assisted them plan and implement their first fundraiser. I would recommend this organization to other volunteers and friends!
