Mission Statement

East Central Indiana Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) believes that every child has the right to a safe, permanent home. CASA advocates for and provides a voice in the court process for neglected, abused or exploited children in Hancock and Madison Counties and educates the community regarding its responsibility for these children.

CASA equips and supervises volunteers who provide hundreds of neglected, abused, and exploited children with a voice and friend in the court process.

Child Advocates are the voice in the court for abused and neglected children infant to age 18. They will thoroughly examine a child’s case and makes recommendations to the Judge on what is in the best interest of the child.

The goal of CASA is to get the child into a safe and permanent home as quickly as possible, where they can thrive.
