Mission Statement

The mission of Hearts In Motion is to provide care and medical treatment for children, families, and communities through its programs and sponsorships in the US, Central and South Americas. An additional goal is to provide opportunities for individuals to participate in short-term mission experiences.

Description

H.I.M. was founded by Karen Scheeringa in 1990 based on her own Christian principles and belief in Jesus Christ. H.I.M. is non-denominational and welcomes anyone willing to serve, without regard to religion. The H.I.M. volunteer staff is located in Merrillville, IN, with additional volunteers in Guatemala and throughout the United States.
