Mission Statement

ALSO's purpose is to provide peer support service, educational programs, advocacy and referrals for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, questioning and all other youth confronting sexual orientation and/or gender identity issues.

Description

ALSO programs include providing a safe place for youth to meet and socialize; assistance in formation of gay/straight alliances in schools; advocacy with legislators in the areas of safe schools and non-discrimination; HIV prevention educations, testing, case management and counseling; facilitate group sessions and referrals for individual counselling.
