Mission Statement
Making a difference in the lives of young people, Catholic Tutor Corps places tutors in Catholic K-8 schools in urban areas of the Twin Cities. Volunteers work with students of all grades and in all subjects. The time commitment can be as little as 2 hours per week.
Description
We have approximately 80 tutors working in 10 different schools in the Twin Cities area. Our tutors come from all walks of life and represent all age groups, from university students to business leaders. Particularly valuable because of their expertise in their fields are our retirees, among whom are engineers, teachers, business executives.
Catholic Tutor Corps welcomes anyone willing to volunteer his or her time and talents to help a student. Individuals or entire volunteer groups are welcome. We link church groups, parishes, and business groups with schools. Depending on the needs of the schools and your interests, you will work with students of different ages in math, reading, science, or social studies.
