Community Health Corps

Mission Statement

Community Health Corps mission is to implement in a collaborative manner a focused and sustainable public health program for Chicago's medically under served communities that develops human resources and leaders trained to effectively address prevention and outreach issues in the areas of pre- and post-natal care, nutrition, and environmental health and whose service has a measurable impact on the population of 0-3 years. Our AmeriCorps members are placed with Chicago Department of Public Health programs/initiatives or community-based agencies, where they undertake health education and/or outreach projects.
