Mission Statement

The Hattie B. Cooper Community Center is dedicated to helping individuals develop the qualities needed to become responsible and caring citizens. To achieve this, we offer a variety of program activities and support services designed to assist in the educational, emotional, physical and social development of the people in the greater Roxbury community, regardless of race, religion, ethnic or economic background.

Description

Cooper Community Center has been providing community-based, family-centered services since 1916. Cooper has served as an anchor in this community and as an engine of leadership, development, especially among young women of color. Cooper has a wonderful legacy of generations of connection and community members who give back to the center through their connections.
