Mission Statement

To provide educational & support to people with scleroderma & their families; to stimulate & support research designed to identify the cause & cure of scleroderma as well as improve methods of treatment & to enhance the public's awareness of the disease.

Description

We provide educational programs and services to scleroderma patients in the state of Michigan. We host Stampede Scleroderma every year at the Detroit Zoo and recruit volunteers to assist in the day of efforts of this event the first Sunday of June. We also look for community board members who can help to support our four-fold mission of educaiton, support, research and advocacy.

Mostly good experience. I was a run route assistant. I would have liked a shirt or a brightly colored vest so neighborhood residents would have known why I was parked and standing in front of their home. Also a text or phone call could be given to run route assistants when the walk was over.
