Mission Statement

Walk the Walk is a community-based not-for-profit agency providing integrated case management services to the abused elderly and their families. The agency was founded in 1993 in order to assist victims of elder abuse. The agency also performs outreach and advocacy to increase public awareness on assisting abused seniors.

Description

1) STEPS (Services to Empower and Protect Seniors) Information and referrals are provided, case assistance and outreach. 2) v Crime Victim Assistance Under a grant funded by the NYS Crime Victims Board, Walk the Walk is able to provide services specifically tailored to meet the needs of older adult crime victims and victims of elder abuse. 3) Opening in 2002, Mary's House is a 20-bed emergency shelter specifically designed to meet the needs of elderly victims of abuse.
