Mission Statement

The mission of the Museum Service Council, the volunteer arm of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, is to provide staff support in virtually every area of the museum. Volunteers work in the Welcome Centers and the Boone Childrenâ s Gallery, they provide assistance to curatorial and administrative offices, and work in libraries and promoting membership renewals. Members also act as hosts for special events, assist in Museum Shops and participate in education outreach programs.

Description

LACMA is the largest art musuem in the Western United States with a permanenc colection of over 160,000 pieces of art.

Great experience, very good organization. I learned a lot about art, education, and youth. I also met some great friends. I ended up volunteering there for 3 years, and would have continued if I still lived in the area.
