Mission Statement

Hope's House Child Care Service and After School Center, under the auspices of New Hope Community Baptist Church is a faith-based not for profit organization committed to the success of our youth. "Hope's House" (a partnership of congregation, parents, children, educators, volunteers and community members working collaboratively together) strives to serve children in a warm, caring and nurturing environment. In providing child care services and after school tutorial services, we are obligated to provide a safe and secure play setting as well.

Description

We are seeking in-kind donations, volunteerism, donated quality materials and equipment to construct a safe secure playground. The design might consist of the following: a swing set, or a cargo net climb, bongo steps or a ladder, a wave slide or a dragon slide, a platform walk, balance beam or a bar ball with a steering wheel, interactive panels, handrails or a gazebo connecting two smaller play units utilizing different components of anything listed above. We will use wood chips as surface material. The allotted space for the playground is 2,500 square feet, on a 50x50 strip of land between the parsonage and the church. The project is expected to last two days (1 for preparation and 1 for building). The process of community volunteer and outreach will allow us to improve, update and increase our services to families in the community, who utilize our center. Our high priority area remains providing a secure and safe environment for those left in our charge. We believe children and their environment influences youth, which in turn, affects their physical, emotional and intellectual growth.
