Mission Statement

"Linking accessible, responsive transportation with community need."

Description

Ride Connection is a community non-profit that was established under the auspices of TriMet, to help coordinate volunteer transportation services for older adults and people with disabilities within our community. Originally, Ride Connection started out coordinating just a few providers and providing just a few individual customized rides. Over time, and in response to community need, our organization and scope of service has grown. During the 2014 fiscal year over 430,000 rides were provided. Today, Ride Connection coordinates with over 30 different volunteer transportation service providers (such as Impact NW and the American Cancer Society) and directly provides individualized rides to older adults and people with disabilities in Multnomah, Washington and Clackamas Counties. In addition, Ride Connection also provides community shuttle services, and one-on-one travel training on public transportation. Programs Ride Connection administers include: RideWise, East County U-Ride, and the N/NE shuttle.
