The Spokane Neighborhood Economic Development Alliance is a collaborative effort among four community centers, key economic development organizations & Spokane's economic development leadership. Key elements are: 1) institutionalization of systems for acquiring business capital & development of a revolving loan fund to support business development leading to jobs for low-income people; 2) development of business assistance to serve neighborhood business; 3) a virtual business incubator to create additional access to business assistance products & services; 4) promotion & development of Individual Development Accounts; 5) micro-enterprise assistance; 6) family childcare business development; 7) the launch of business enterprises by the community centers; 8) development of a housing rehabilitation & in-fill project.
