Mission Statement

Compeer serves youth who are at-risk for participating in negative behaviors or who display signs of an emotional disturbance. Many children who are at-risk or emotionally disturbed often times feel stigmatized or rejected by their peers or their community. Compeer's goal is to help remove these stigmas by inspiring volunteers to become mentors, and help role-model approapriate behaviors and social interactions.

Description

Compeer is an award winning, community-based mentoring program that matches professionally screened and trained volunteers in friendship relationships with youth in need. Using the power of friendship, our volunteers can help make a difference and change the life of someone in need.

Compeer offers a variety of mentoring opportunities that will fit into any schedule. You can choose the program that best suits your needs. All it takes is a few hours a month, sharing your time, and doing things you already enjoy doing- movies, music, sporting events, or playing games.
