Mission Statement

Donor Alliance saves lives through organ and tissue donation and transplantation.

Description

Donor Alliance is the federally-designated, non-profit organ procurement organization (OPO) and an American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB) accredited tissue bank serving Colorado and most of Wyoming. As a recognized leader in facilitating the donation and recovery of transplantable organs and tissues, our mission is to save lives through organ and tissue donation and transplantation. To achieve this mission, Donor Alliance employs effective family approach and recovery programs in more than 100 hospitals. Donor Alliance also inspires the public to register as organ and tissue donors through community partnerships, public outreach and education campaigns throughout its donation service area.

Volunteering for Donate Life is the best part of my month! I try to volunteer at one event per month. I have met so many kind and wonderful people that work for Donor Alliance and volunteer for Donate Life. I have met many life long friends. I've also gone through hours of training--including speech training. I find the training thoughtful and in-depth. Speech training gave me the words I needed to share my connection with donation. I have volunteered at a variety of events for Donate Life. They are almost always uplifting and leave me feeling like I've really made a difference. Some of my favorites were at Comic Con, Cinco de Mayo in Denver, Donor Dash (I even got to share my story with the crowd!), Denver Auto Show, Denver Broncos Health Fair and so many more. I highly recommend volunteering your time with Donate Life. They value me as a volunteer and value my time. It was the best decision I made!
