To inspire Wonder, Discovery, and Responsibility for our natural and cultural worlds through the unique assets of the La Brea Tarpits.

Description

We are the site for the foremost collection of Ice Age fossils, with both an active continuing, dig site and laboratory, both visible to the visiting public. We also offer public tours and living history presentations and enjoy a robust and active docent group that enhances and maintains our school visits programs.
