Mission Statement

We are an all-volunteer, non-profit animal shelter formed in 1986 to find homes for the dogs, cats, and occasional rabbits, lost within our city limits. We are California non-profit 501-C3 corporation # 33-0192138. All donations are tax deductible. The Friends of the Seal Beach Animal Care Center (and all the animals in our care) appreciate our members, the City of Seal Beach, and the general public for their generous support. All donations received go directly to the care of the animals, with veterinary costs being our biggest expense.

I believe animals should also be taken care of and helped just as humans do as well. You never know how much you can help an animal in need unless you act on it.

I have volunteered here for a couple of months. I love it. It is a pro-life shelter and the accommodations are very nice. They always put the interests of the animals at the front of all they do. I am able to play with the cats and help socialize them so they have a better chance of being adopted. The other volunteers are nice and I always feel appreciated!
