Mission Statement

The PEACE cooperative was founded with the mission to support and empower the Metro-Detroit community to become self-sufficient through public advocacy, administering services and developing strong business and community alliances.

Description

Peace Technology Center -Our mission is to provide access to technology and to increase computer literacy in Detroit. Through training, we assist users to integrate the use of technology in order to ultimately improve their everyday lives. A World Away - Our mission is to increase the knowledge of geography and world issues in order to facilitate cultural interest and understanding amongst youth and adults alike. Feed the 500 - An International Taste Fest is an annual expansion of a weekly soup kitchen held at the Muslim Center into a medley of exotic international cuisine. In addition to addressing hunger issues in Detroit, the Festival serves as an International Information Fair in which participants may learn about the many cultures of the world through art, music and dance presentations, speakers representing their part of the world, handouts and a photo exhibit.
