Mission Statement

Beta believes that all people have the intrinsic right to be full participating members of their communities. This includes living in their own homes and exercising as much control over their lives as possible. To the extent that this occurs, all members of the community benefit. Therefore, Beta is committed to providing supports that enable the people we serve to exercise their rights, to assume valued roles in the community and to have a variety of mutually enriching relationships. Beta strives to examine the supports which are provided by applying the standard- "Would the service we provide be good enough for me?"

Description

Beta Community Services provides community based support services to individuals with disabilities in the Greater Attleboro area. Services are designed on an individual basis and may include support... ...to secure appropriate housing ...to develop valued roles in the community ...to build positive, lasting friendships ...to make choices and exercise independence ...to build and utilize skills Funding is provided through contracts with the Massachuesetts Department of Mental Retardation, consumer's fees and through donations. Services can vary from a few hours per week to twenty-four hour supprot based on an individuals's level of independence. Each disabled individual has a staff advocate who assists him/her in formulating and achieving his/her goals.
