Mission Statement

The Friends of Laguna Creek offers a grass roots opportunity for local residents to learn about the Laguna Creek watershed, vocalize their interests and spearhead or contribute to watershed restoration, education and creek oriented activities.

Description

The group's activities include creek walks, park and trail development, creek clean-ups, habitat restoration, erosion control, community outreach, water quality assessment, pollution abatement and redevelopment planning oriented to creeks in the watershed. The group develops its activities based on, and to a large extent was formed as a result of, the "Laguna Creek Basin Reconnaissance Study and Water Quality Enhancement Plan, July 2000" prepared for the City of Fremont.
