Mission Statement

Safe Harbor's mission is to help educate the general public, city officials and all animal organizations to work together towards responsible pet ownership. We believe that education, as well as exhibiting a moral standard will lead to the increase of spaying/neutering, increase of adpotions and rduce the un-necessary euthanasia numbers. Our mission also includes a permanent, income based community spay/neuter clinic that would help our community vets to a provide much-needed service. We do not claim to be a "no-kill" organization, simply because reality is evident that in a commuity this size, there are animals that are a potenial danger to society, or are un-able to have a quality of life, and euthanasia is then the appropriate, responsible solution. Unfortunately,due to ii-responsible pet owner, thousands of healthy, adoptable animals are euthanized each year.
