Safe Horizon, Ongoing Recovery Program

Description

Safe Horizon and the September 11th Fund have an ongoing need for volunteer notaries to assist with information sessions for WTC-affected workers. The objective of these sessions is to provide an overview of currently available benefits, services, and resources, and to certify clients' eligibility to participate in the September 11th Fund's new Ongoing Recovery Program. For this certification process, The Fund is looking for volunteer notaries willing to help for about 1-1.5 hours at a time. Sessions are held on a daily basis in all 5 boroughs. Though there are evening and weekend sessions, The Fund is especially in need of notaries who can help during daytime hours and/or in Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island.
