Mission Statement

SFJAZZ is a not-for-profit organization devoted to jazz, an American art form with origins in the African American community and with an appeal that now extends throughout the world. SFJAZZ encourages the growth of jazz and jazz audiences through concert and educational programs in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond, celebrating jazz as a living art built on a constantly evolving tradition.
