Mission Statement

Prince George's County Department of Social Services is in the business of providing opportunities for residents of the county to become independent, responsible and stable members of the community. We do this by providing intervention services that strengthen families, protect children and vulnerable adults, encourage self-sufficiency and promote personal responsibility.

Description

Volunteers are a valuable resource for clients and staff. By volunteering you are promoting community involvement, strengthening our workplace and your community. Our Office of Volunteer Services offers a variety of support services to the Prince George's County Department of Social Services. We provide opportunities for many to contribute their time, expertise and good will to people less fortunate than themselves.
