Mission Statement

Assist those living with HIV/AIDS to achieve a higher quality of life through housing, care and support services. The proceeds from the 2004 Heart of America Ride for AIDS will go directly to AIDSCare and Access Community Health Network. AIDSCARE assists those living with advanced HIV/AIDS in the Chicago area achieve a higher quality of life through housing, care and support services. Access Community Health Network is Chicagoland's largest private community health center organization. Accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations.

Description

The Heart of America Ride for AIDS is a three-day, 225-mile bike ride raising funds for AIDS Cycle, Inc. supporting AIDSCARE and Access Community Health Network. Riders commit to raising a minimum of $1500. They are supported throughout the weekend by members of the all-volunteer Crew. Riders and Crew will spend two nights at the â  Tent Cityâ  where they will have hot meals and hot showers.
