Mission Statement

RescueCats, Inc. is a nonprofit, no-kill organization, providing temporary care for orphaned and owner released kittens and cats. Cats are fostered in a safe and loving indoor environment until they can be adopted into a suitable home. No animal is ever euthanized to make room for another. Cats are tested for FeLV/FIV (Feline Leukemia & Feline Aids), dewormed, vaccinated for RCPC (distemper combo) & Rabies (if old enough), treated for fleas, ear mites, and anything else that might be necessary prior to adoption. The animals are also spayed or neutered to stop the cycle of overpopulation and to improve the overall health of the kitten or cat. Each potential adopter is required to submit an adoption application, pay a standard fee, and agree to house the animal indoors.
