Mission Statement
The Mission of the Foundation is to positively impact the lives of children who are underprivileged, abused, neglected or physically challenged. Our goal is to break the cycles of violence, intolerance and proverty by helping these children acquire the confidence, self-esteem and sense of well-being they need to become healthy, content, contributing members of society.
Description
The My Gym - Challenged America Foundation is a nonprofit partnership between My Gym Children's Fitness Center, a leading children's gym with over 90 locations worldwide, and Randy Bertish, a physically impaired person whose inspiring journey toward recovery from a catastrophic auto accident has empowered him to want to help children in need. The My Gym - Challenged America Foundation acts as the umbrella for the following areas of service: Nonprofit My Gym Children's Fitness Center Facilities, Challenged America, and the My Gym - Challenged America Outreach Program. The aim of the foundation is to break the cycles of intolerance, poverty and violence by positively impacting the lives of physically challenged, underprivileged, abused and/or neglected children throughout the country. The goal is to help these children acquire the confidence, self-esteem and sense of well-being needed to become healthy, content, contributing members of society. Funds are raised through grants, corporate sponsorships, private donations and special events.
