Description

On September 10, 2002, Nashville Public Television reached a new milestone as public television in Nashville and middle Tennessee celebrated its 40th anniversary on the air. Throughout this span, NPT, which was known as WDCN during its first 37 and a half years of existence, has undergone significant changes - from primarily broadcasting for classroom use, to becoming the full-service PBS member station that it is today. Each year Nashville Public Television relies on over 1000 volunteers to undertake a variety of duties. This support ultimately allows us to provide high quality programming and services to Middle Tennessee and southern Kentucky. Becoming an NPT volunteer is a great way to show your support for public broadcasting and all the quality programming it offers. You really can make a difference!
