Mission Statement
With the leadership of students and youth, the Student Animal Rights Alliance works to build a culture of respect for animal rights - the simple belief that animals deserve to be treated as the living, feeling individuals that they are, and as such deserve the right to live free from torture, mutilation, slaughter, and exploitation.
Description
We work to promote awareness of animal rights and issues that affect animals, mobilize students for animal advocacy, and support student initiatives that advance the protection of animals. Student Animal Rights Alliance was founded with the recognition that youth activism has always been an important part of social movements, thus we work to carry out our central organizational principle that recognizes the youth of today as not only the leaders of tomorrow, but also the leaders of today. With the leadership and commitment of our network members, we seek to build a culture of respect for animal rights while bridging the gap between animal rights and other social justice concerns.
