¡Ofrézcase como voluntario en Eden Housing como entrenador financiero en 2024! La necesidad de un asesor financiero es simple. Un plan financiero, por muy impecable que sea, sigue estando sujeto al comportamiento y las emociones humanas. El asesoramiento financiero ayuda a los residentes a establecer procesos y obtener herramientas para equilibrar las necesidades conductuales y financieras de su familia/hogar. El Programa Eden Savers de Eden Housing está configurado para apoyar a nuestros residentes al ser emparejados con un entrenador financiero capacitado. En lugar de simplemente educar o dar consejos, los entrenadores trabajan individualmente con nuestros residentes para ayudarlos a mejorar su bienestar financiero, establecer y lograr metas financieras significativas, desarrollar pasos de acción, brindar responsabilidad y servir como un recurso para las preguntas de los clientes. Como resultado de la pandemia actual y hasta nuevo aviso, ¡Eden Savers se ha vuelto virtual! Todas las entrevistas se llevan a cabo por teléfono, la capacitación se lleva a cabo en Zoom y las reuniones de entrenadores / residentes también se llevarán a cabo de forma remota. Calificaciones y requisitos: -Los coaches exitosos son oyentes activos, curiosos, reflexivos y pueden construir asociaciones de trabajo sólidas.-El conocimiento de la administración financiera personal es útil pero no obligatorio.-Los coaches deben asistir a una capacitación virtual de dos partes, que se lleva a cabo de lunes a viernes, para aprender el plan de estudios financiero proporcionado por Eden, las prácticas de coaching y las herramientas que se pueden usar con los clientes.-Los coaches se reúnen con sus clientes dos veces por semana durante seis meses; las sesiones de coaching son generalmente 90 minutos.-Acceso a computadora portátil, teléfono inteligente, tableta e Internet estable. -Se prefieren entrenadores bilingües. Beneficios:- Adquirir experiencia en desarrollo profesional y coaching financiero.-Experiencia profesional adquirida trabajando con un cliente y logrando metas financieras.-Desarrollar una relación de trabajo cercana con un residente y verlo triunfar.-Horas de voluntariado disponibles si es necesario. Todos los entrenadores serán emparejados antes del feriado del 4 de Julio y completarán su compromiso de seis meses antes del 31 de Diciembre.

Volunteer with Eden Housing as a Financial Coach in 2024! The need for a financial coach is simple. A financial plan, no matter how faultless, is still subject to human behavior and emotion. Financial coaching helps residents establish processes and gain tools for balancing the behavioral and financial needs of their family/household. Eden Housing's Eden Savers Program is set up to support our residents by being matched with a trained financial coach. Rather than simply educating or giving advice, coaches work one-on-one with our residents to help them improve their financial well-being, set and achieve meaningful financial goals, develop action steps, provide accountability, and serve as a resource for client questions. As a result of the current pandemic and until further notice, Eden Savers has gone virtual! All interviews are held over the phone, training is held on Zoom, and coach/resident meetings will be held remotely as well. Qualifications & Requirements: -Successful coaches are active listeners, curious, thoughtful, and can build strong working partnerships. -Knowledge of personal financial management is useful but not required. -Coaches must attend a two-part, virtual training, held on weekdays, to learn Eden's provided financial curriculum, coaching practices, and tools that can be used with clients. -Coaches meet with their clients bi-weekly for six months; coaching sessions are generally 90 minutes. -Access to laptop, smartphone, tablet, and stable internet. -Bilingual Coaches are preferred. Benefits: -Gain professional development and financial coaching experience. -Professional experience gained working with a client setting and achieving financial goals. -Develop a close working relationship with a resident and watch them succeed. -Volunteer hours available if needed. All coaches will be matched by the 4th of July holiday and will complete their six-month commitment by December 31.

Are you a tech-savvy individual who would like to make a direct impact by working with the senior community? Digital Literacy Instructors work with seniors one-on-one or in small groups to teach them how to make use of current technologies and tools to stay connected with loved ones and to handle online essential tasks that can advance their quality of life. This is a virtual opportunity! Digital Navigators/Literacy Volunteers will teach basic literacy lessons in some, but now all the following topics: how to use a PC, Smartphones, Online Safety, Searching Online, Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Word, Using email, Google Drive, and Google Docs. Duties: Commit to a weekly two-hour small group instructional shift Help attendees learn how to use their laptops, smartphones, or tablets Act as a resource and guide, helping them learn how to find resources and information Work closely with the Technology Programs Manager to implement classroom activities Skills needed: Understand how to use basic technology: laptops, smartphones, and email. Previous technology tutoring experience is preferred, but not required. Previous experience working with seniors is preferred, but not required. Patience and an ability to explain things simply to someone who did not grow up being immersed in technology. Handling minor technical issues in the classroom Must have excellent interpersonal skills and a positive personality and demeanor. Ability to embrace the challenge of teaching basic technology concepts related to internet services, computers, mobile devices, and applications. You enjoy and/or have experience working with diverse populations of students and communities Bilingual in Cantonese, Mandarin, Farsi, Korean, or Spanish Benefit: You will LOVE working with this age group; helping them get online and connect with family and friends and their passions. As a Digital Literacy Instructor, you will gain insight into the life and experiences of seniors, as well as the joy and satisfaction that comes from helping the elderly connect with others, become more engaged in the community, and learn new skills. Time commitment: 2-4 week sessions
