Volunteer with Eden Housing as a Financial Coach! The need for a financial coach is simple: a financial plan, no matter how faultless, is still subject to human behavior and emotion. Financial coaching helps residents to establish processes and gain tools for balancing the behavioral and financial needs of their family/household. Eden Housing's Eden Savers Program is set up to support our residents by being matched with a trained financial coach. Rather than simply educating or giving advice, coaches work one-on-one with our residents to help them improve their financial well-being, set and achieve meaningful financial goals, develop action steps, provide accountability, and serve as a resource for client questions. As a result of the current pandemic and until further notice, Eden Savers has gone virtual! All interviews are held over the phone, training is held on Zoom, and coach/resident meetings will be held remotely as well. Qualifications & Requirements: -Successful coaches are active listeners, curious, goal-oriented, and able to work in partnership with their clients. -Knowledge of personal financial management is useful but not required. -Bilingual Coaches who are fluent in Spanish preferred. -Coaches must attend a two-part, virtual training, held on weekdays, to learn Eden's provided financial curriculum, coaching practices, and tools that can be used with clients. -Coaches meet with their client bi-weekly for six months; coaching sessions are generally 90 minutes. -Access to laptop, smartphone, tablet, and stable internet. Benefits: -Gain professional development and financial coaching experience. -Professional experience gained working with a client setting and achieving financial goals. -Develop a close working relationship with a resident and watch them succeed.
