Mission Statement

The Alfred Adler Institute of New York is a post-graduate training institute for mental health professionals. The Institute has been the primary source of Adlerian psychology training in the Northeast for over 50 years. Our faculty and advisors include some of the most prominent practitioners and authors in the field. In addition to preserving the traditional Adlerian philosophy and treatment methodology of Individual Psychology, we concentrate on demonstrating how Adler's theories remain fresh and applicable to contemporary society.

Description

The Alfred Adler Institute was a prime moving force in establishing both the National Association for the Advancement of Psychoanalysis - of which we continue to be an accredited member Institute - and the American Board for Accreditation in Psychoanalysis. The Institute is chartered by the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York.
