Mission Statement
The mission of the Crisis Center is to offer the communities we serve education, advocacy and intervention allowing individuals to find positive solutions for personal crises. Through support, hope and education we strive to restore emotional balance to both individuals and the communities in which they live.
The Crisis Center works towards our mission when our trained Crisis Intervention workers respond immediately to support people in crisis: people with thoughts of suicide, victims of domestic violence, victims of sexual assault, and those unsure of where to turn for assistance. Our staff and volunteers also provide emotional support and daily calls to home-bound individuals who need a reassuring phone call. Response is immediate with follow up support if necessary. We promote awareness of suicide risk, domestic violence and sexual assault throughout the community.
