To make a positive difference in the lives of children and youth, primarily through a professionally supported One-To-One relationship with a caring adult and to assist them in achieving their highest potential as they grow to become confident competent, and caring indivieduals, by providing committed volunteers, national leadership and standards of excellence.
COMMUNITY PROGRAM - One adult matched with one child. Approximately 8 hrs per month. Fun agency activities offered every month like movie nights, swim & holiday parties. LUNCH BUDDY PROGRAM -One adult from the community is matched with one child at a local elementary school. Thirty to sixty minutes, twice per month. The volunteer and child spend time together at lunch in school only. PAL'S (PEER-ASSISTED LEARNING) - High School Mentoring Program. One high school student is matched with one elementary school student. One hour twice per month. Supervised curriculum, games, and activities.
