Shipley Nature Center

Mission Statement

The Mission of the Friends of Shipley Nature Center is to educate the community on the importance of the Shipley Nature Center, which includes a natural history museum and 18 acres of habitat in an urban environment. This area provides people a location to gain a greater appreciation and knowledge of nature. The Friends will support the city in maintaining the small natural history museum and restoring the area with native plants and wetland habitats. This will include a docent program and fundraising activities to help support the Park Naturalist and the Center
