Adolescent and Family Enrichment Council

The Family is the basic unit of our complex and rapidly changing society. Although it is found in a variety of forms, the familyis still the primary unit that provides adult companionship and support, as well as nurturing and caring for children.

The Council is committed to strengthening families by reducing adolescent pregnancy and by providing family life education.

The Adolescent and FamilyEnrichmentCouncil of Rowan County, Inc., formerly the Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Council, was founded in 1987. Since 1996, the Council has been a participating agency of the United Way. The Council has received funding from United Way, Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation, Robertson Family Foundation, Smart Start Rowan, Salisbury Community Foundation, and March of Dimes.
