Mission Statement

Our volunteers make substantial contributions to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources' overall mission: To conserve and enhance Iowa's natural resources in cooperation with individuals and organizations to improve the quality of life in Iowa and ensure a legacy for future generations.

Description

The Volunteer Program of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources matches volunteers with service needs all over the state of Iowa. The DNR operates Iowa's state parks, fish hatcheries, wildlife units, environmental field offices, and state forests. The volunteer program is administered by DNR staff in the Wallace State Office Building, but volunteer opportunities are state-wide!
