The Community Group manages and provides support functions to a range of quality programs of education:
Community Day Care: Early education - school age child care programs
Community Day Charter Public School: Grades K-8
Community Partners Initiative: Data and management services for schools
Child Care Circuit: Child care information, tuition subsidies, and professional development for educators

Since 1969
The Community Group is a private, non-profit agency based in Lawrence, Massachusetts. With the commitment and support of an outstanding board of directors comprised of parents, educators, and legal and financial professionals and the entrepreneurship of its executive director and committed staff, the agency has grown and expanded over the years from its early start as a small preschool day care program.

The Community Group Mentor Program
Building strong, positive relationships for a brighter future
Are you looking for an opportunity to make a difference as a mentor in an education program?
We have opportunities to mentor students between the ages of 3 and 14 in a range of capacities:
- Reading Mentor - Read one-on-one or with a small group of students to help students increase strength and confidence in reading
- Homework Mentor - Assist one to four students with their homework, helping them gain a better understanding of key concepts
- High School Application Mentor - Help 7th and 8th grade students navigate the high school application process
- Special Projects Mentor - Work with a group of two to four students on a special project based on the interests of the students and mentor
Volunteer opportunities are available throughout the work day; programs operate from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
