Mission Statement

The mission of the Takoma Park Folk Festival (TPFF) is to showcase music, dance, and storytelling from cultures around the world in a music festival that is accessible and welcoming to the entire metropolitan DC community.

Description

The TPFF presents a free annual folk festival that celebrates the arts and the Takoma Park-Silver Spring community. The event is held in September, and it is free. We celebrate the wealth of musical and artistic talent found in Takoma Park and the greater Washington community; encourage volunteerism by involving youth groups; increase community awareness by providing a forum for local nonprofit organizations to distribute literature and answer questions; and make the festival as accessible as possible to everyone, including people with disabilities.
