ORIGINAL MISSION STATEMENT OF SERVICE ORGANIZATION BENEFITING RECOVERY:
THE ORGANIZATION WAS FORMED TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR SERVICES, ACTIVITIES, AND PROGRAMS WHICH ENCOURAGE, DEVELOP, PROVIDE AND SUSTAIN TREATMENT FOR AND RECOVERY FROM SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND CHEMICAL DEPENDANCY FOR YOUNG ADULTS BETWEEN THE AGES OF 12-25 YEARS OLD.
IN 2007, THE SOBR BOARD ADOPTED AND INCORPORATED THE MISSION STATEMENT OF LIFEWAY ("Lifeway" is a program name) :
LIFEWAY IS A RECOVERY ORGANIZATION THOUGH WHICH PEOPLE LEARN TO LIVE RESPONSIBLE, PRINCIPLE-BASED LIVES FREE FROM SELF-DESTRUCTIVE ADDICTIONS. LIFEWAY SEEKS TO UNIFY FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES THROUGH GROUP SUPPORT, EDUCATION AND GOD, AS ONE UNDERSTANDS HIM. THIS ORGANIZATION IS BASED UPON SPIRITUAL PRINCIPLES BUT IS NOT AFFILIATED WITH ANY SINGLE ORGANIZED RELIGION. LIFEWAY'S SERVICES, ACTIVITIES AND PROGRAMS ENCOURAGE, DEVELOP, PROVIDE AND SUSTAIN TREATMENT FOR AND RECOVERY FROM SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND CHEMICAL DEPENDANCY.
Service Organization Benefiting Recovery (SOBR) offers a 360 Degree Recovery Support Approach for Families in Crises from Chemical Use, Abuse and Dependency and Addictive Behaviors
We provide several programs:
Facilitated Alternative Peer Groups - 11 groups in the greater Houston area service Adolescents, Young Adults, and Adults and their families.
Three Oaks Academy :
A Safe and Sober, Fully-Accredited Specialized School Alternative
Individual and Group Therapy, Community and Professional Support
