Mission Statement

The mission of Beaver Creek School is to educate children in the community ages preK-8 through high school through on-site classes preK-8 and in provide tuition and transportation to high school students in the district attending area district high schools.

Description

The Beaver Creek Elementary School District was established in 1881 and the Rock Building of the School built in 1932 resides in the middle of the K-8 school grounds. Many of the school buildings, playgrounds, and most recently the ball fields were built by members of the community. Today, the Beaver Creek School District has a five member Governing Board elected by the voters in the district. In statute their main responsibilities are to approve financial expenditures, approval of staff recommendations and to create policies bound by the state and federal requirements for school districts. The principal/superintend is in charge of the day to day affairs of the district.

Beaver Creek School District # 26 and the Beaver Creek Regional Council have observed a growing amount of need with in the community. While there are services provided by some of the committees within the Beaver Creek Regional Council and through Beaver Creek School, the two organizations have agreed that the most efficient way to reach out and help those community members in need is to build a stronger volunteer base.
