Mission Statement
The mission of the Dallas Urban Debate Alliance is to build, support, and sustain competitive academic policy debate programs in every DISD high school, thus making policy debate an educational resource available to all students.
Description
The Dallas UDA has served more than one thousand students in four years. In the current school year alone, we will reach nearly 300 through debate tournaments, student and coach training sessions, and the nineteen sections of debate class currently provided in DISD high schools. From another perspective, the UDA provides an opportunity to participate in competitive debate programming to more than 10,000 low-income, minority, at-risk high school students who otherwise would not have that opportunity.

Dallas Urban Debate Alliance needs as much judges as they can get, whether parent, grandparent or teacher. They provide a short but information-packed tutorial for judging before the tournament that are for either middle school or high school.
