About Us: Films for the Planet is a project of the Compathos Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Our mission is to inspire and empower environmentally-conscious individuals by providing access to the best in environmental and social action films through a streaming online platform to spark social impact, fuel continuous learning, and encourage active community engagement. We are seeking a motivated and results-driven volunteer Development Associate to join our fundraising team and play a key role in identifying and qualifying potential sponsors, initiating contact, and guiding sponsor prospects through the sales cycle. Job Overview: The Development Associate - Sponsor Qualification and Outreach is responsible for identifying, engaging, and nurturing potential corporate sponsors. He/she will play a crucial role in establishing connections, qualifying leads, and ensuring that qualified sponsor prospects seamlessly transition through the sales cycle. His/her goal is to contribute to the growth of our sponsorship goals in support of online Film Events. We are only considering U.S.-based candidates for this position. Key Responsibilities: Outreach: Under the direction of the Fundraising Director, reach out to potential sponsors through a variety of channels, including email, phone calls, and social media, to establish initial contact. Prospect Qualification: In initial discussions with potential sponsors determine who is the decision maker within the organization. Appointment Setting: Schedule appointments with qualified sponsor prospects for in-depth discussions and presentations. Sales Cycle Guidance: Act as a point of contact for sponsor prospects, guiding them through the sales process, answering questions, and addressing concerns. Lead Tracking: Maintain accurate records of all prospect interactions, ensuring timely follow-ups and next steps are clearly documented. Collaboration: Collaborate with the Fundraising Director, and as needed with the development team to provide insights, feedback, and information on sponsor prospects, facilitating seamless handovers during the sales process. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field preferred. Proven experience in sales, business development, or sponsorships. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple leads simultaneously. Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and a strong team player. About Us: The Compathos Foundation has an opening for a highly motivated VOLUNTEER Grant Writer. He/she will be responsible for securing grant funding primarily for the Films for the Planet virtual events. Previous experience in grant writing and/or proposal writing is required, as are writing samples of your work. We are only considering U.S.-based candidates for this position. Our mission is to inspire and empower environmentally-conscious individuals by providing access to the best in environmental and social action films through a streaming online platform to spark social impact, fuel continuous learning, and encourage active community engagement. Job Overview: Under the direction of the Fundraising Director, he/she will be responsible for researching, identifying, and securing grants, in support of the Foundation's programs and initiatives. This role requires excellent research and writing skills, as well as the ability to build and maintain relationships with potential funders and stakeholders. The Grant Writer will work closely with the Fundraising Director to develop and implement a comprehensive grants strategy that aligns with the Foundation's mission and goals. He/she will also interface with the Executive Director and members of the development team, as needed. Responsibilities: Research and identify potential grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and other funding sources. Write and submit compelling grant proposals, applications, and reports that effectively communicate the Foundation's mission, programs, and impact. Collaborate with the Executive Director and Fundraising Director to gather necessary information and data for grant applications and reports. Develop and maintain a grants calendar to track deadlines, requirements, and reporting obligations. Managing awarded grants, including monitoring and preparing grant applications, reports and deadlines. Build and maintain relationships with funders. Monitor and track grant awards, to ensure compliance with grant terms and reporting requirements, both programmatic and financial reporting. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as nonprofit management, business administration, communications, or a related field preferred. Previous grant writing experience and/or proposal writing is required. Excellent research, writing, and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and proposals. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Ability to build and maintain relationships with grant funders and other team members. Knowledge of grant compliance and reporting requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
