Mission Statement

Joel’s Place AmeriCorps Seasons of Service, JPSOS for short, provides service opportunities for people at least 17 years of age throughout the year. We do this by placing members with agencies throughout the Fairbanks North Star Borough. As part of the AmeriCorps program, our members have the opportunity to gain valuable professional experience, receive site-specific and general job-readiness training, and serve their community in a meaningful way. Joel’s Place recognizes the potential of young people to make a difference in their community through service. JPSOS AmeriCorps members will have an opportunity to BE the difference they want to see.
