Since 1894, Chicago Commons has partnered with individuals, families and communities to overcome poverty, discrimination and isolation. Chicago Commons selects neighborhoods where opportunities are fewest and obstacles are greatest. We listen and learn from those we serve, developing programs that strengthen individuals at key stages of their lives.

Description

Through our community-based delivery of services, Chicago Commons programs enhance the quality of life for 35,000 individuals annually. We gauge our success by selecting performance measures that matter in pursuit of four key outcomes: + more financially self-sufficient families, + better educated and more knowledgeable communities, + healthier families and, + stronger advocate voices in our neighborhoods.
