The DMEAF was organized to exclusively for charitable, scientific, literary or educational purposes, within the meaning of Section 501 (c) (3). of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 (the "Code"), including, without limitation, to provide financial assistance to eligible recipients as defined in the Bylaws, of the Denver Maintance Employees and their dependants when they suffer severe harm or losses in emergency, disaster or other crisis situations as defined in the Bylaws.

The DMEAF was formed to provide financial assistance to eligible members or their dependents that experience financial distress due to sickness, accidents, emergencies, disaster, or unforeseen circumstances.
