The World Chess Hall of Fame is a nonprofit, collecting institution situated in the heart of Saint Louis. The Hall of Fame is the only institution of its kind and will offer a variety of programming to explore the dynamic relationship between art and chess. The Hall of Fame will offer educational outreach initiatives to promote chess and the proven cognitive and behavioral benefits it offers players.
Saint Louis is quickly becoming a national and international chess destination. The success of the Chess Club and Scholastic Center of Saint Louis has brought international attention to our city. The opening of the World Chess Hall of Fame will continue to garner support from the chess community. The scope of the Hall of Fame, however, is not limited to chess enthusiast. It is an arts-based institution that will present exhibitions of artistic and historical significance from nationally and internationally recognized artists and collectors.
